About

I’m Michael, The Chart Slayer

I never had a mentor, so I’ve committed myself to being the mentor I wish I’d had, for you.

I got introduced to the markets in 2017, starting with forex and crypto, and I’ve been at it ever since: years of charts, journals, wins, blown accounts and rebuilding. For the last two years I’ve focused on Nasdaq futures (NQ and MNQ), trading full-time across multiple prop firm accounts, and I still dabble in other markets.

I’m a professional trader and educator. I’ve taught for various trading education companies and broker groups, mentored hundreds of people hands-on, and reached thousands of traders around the world.

I’ll tell you up front that it hasn’t been a straight line. I’ve failed a lot. I’ve passed evaluations and lost funded accounts. I’ve had stretches where nothing worked and I had to look hard at why. I didn’t hide from that. I put it in the data. I log every trade, tag every mistake, and I’ve tracked over a thousand trade decisions to study. What I found was uncomfortable and useful: the biggest threat to my results was never the market. It was me. Oversized losses, re-entering right after a stop-out, and chasing price all showed up in the numbers, and each one is now a rule.

That process gave me the RCM, the Reversal-Continuation Model, my own framework for reading price and structuring every decision, and the Slayer Engine, a set of TradingView tools I built to put the framework on the chart.

Nobody handed me any of it. I learned alone, through trial, error and thousands of hours on the screen, with no one to tell me what I was doing wrong. That’s the part I want to change. My goal is to be the mentor I never had: someone who tells you the truth, shows you the real numbers, and cares whether you improve.

Outside the charts, I train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I started in December 2020 and earned my purple belt in 2026. It reinforces what trading keeps teaching me: you don’t beat an opponent, or a market, by forcing it. You stay calm, protect your position, and take what’s offered. My faith is part of that foundation, and I don’t separate who I am from how I trade.

I don’t claim to be perfect. I’m real, I care, and I know how to trade. That’s why I built Chart Slayer Academy.
